North Woods Shawl

2 Premier Sweet Rolls in Root Beer Pop (great fall colours)or any colour you choose
Crochet Hook Size 5.00
Stitches Used:
sc, dc
popcorn st: work 4 dc, then drop the loop and insert hook from front to back under the top loops of first dc and grab the loop dropped from the last dc, and pull through the first dc loops and pull tight.
cross st: working with double crochet skip the next st and dc in next then dc in previous st
picot st: in fourth ch from hook insert hook yo and pull through 2 sts on hook

Row 1: Ch 4, sl st in first sc to form ring.
Row 2: Ch 3, 4 dc, ch 2, 5 dc in ring.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in same space then dc in each dc until ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space then dc in each dc until last 2 dc in last stitch.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in same space then dc in each dc until ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space then dc in each dc until last 2 dc in last stitch.
Row 5: Ch 3, 1 dc in first stitch, cross stitch until ch 2 space, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space, then cross stitch until last 2 dc in last stitch.
Row 6: Ch 3, 1 dc in first stitch, (popcorn stitch in space between cross stitch, dc in next dc, ch 1) until ch 2 space, popcorn st, ch 2, popcorn st in ch 2 space, continue between ( ) until last st, 2 dc in last st.
Row 7: Ch 3, 1 dc in first stitch, cross stitch until ch 2 space, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space,  then cross stitch until last st, 2 dc in last stitch.
Row 8: Ch 3, 1 dc in first st, dc in each st until ch 2 space, then 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space then continue dc in each st until last st, 2 dc in last st. ,
Row 9: Ch 3, 1 dc in first st, dc in each st until ch 2 then 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space then continue dc in each st until last st, 2 dc in last st.
Row 10: Ch 3, 1 dc in first st, skip next dc, dc in next until ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 space, skip next dc, dc in next and all dc until last then 2 dc.
Row 11: Ch 3, 1 dc in first st, dc in each dc and space until ch 2 space, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 sp then dc in each dc and ch2 sp until last dc, 2 dc in last st.
Row 12: Ch 3, 1 dc in first st, dc in each dc until ch 2 space, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in ch 2 sp then dc in each dc and ch2 sp until last dc, 2 dc in last st.
Repeat rows 5 to 12 as many times as the size of shawl you want. I wanted my shawl to be smaller to use with a heavy sweater in the fall but if you would like it full size just repeat rows 5 to 12 as many times as you would like.
Edging:
*Ch 8, picot in the fourth ch from hook, then ch 4, skip 4 sts, sl st in fifth st* until ch 2 space, in ch 2 sp, sl st, ch 8 picot in fourth ch from hook, ch 4, sl st in ch 2 sp, repeat * to * until end.
